A bait station is a separate equipment choice

A station houses bait; it is not automatically a trap and does not necessarily come with rodenticide. Check the listed package contents for keys, retaining rods, trays and mounting hardware. If your existing station has a missing part, confirm the replacement is intended for that exact model before ordering a different box.

Match the station to the bait and location

Check the bait’s current Canadian label for the required station characteristics and placement restrictions. Then verify the proposed station’s dimensions, bait-retention method and indoor or outdoor specifications. A lock alone does not establish that a box satisfies every tamper-resistance requirement. Do not infer unrestricted outdoor use from the colour, shape or brand name.

Compare one station with a six-pack

Make a list of planned station locations, who will service them and which units need replacement. Compare the total price and number of stations in each listing. Allow for any separate bait or accessories in your budget. A multipack is useful only if it matches a real inspection and servicing plan; more boxes do not resolve an unsuitable bait or location.

Questions before you order

Is rodenticide included with a bait box?

Not necessarily. The featured station listings must be checked individually for included contents. Order bait separately only when the exact product and use are appropriate.

Does a lock make a bait station pet-safe?

No station should be described as risk-free. Confirm the required tamper-resistance characteristics, secure it as directed and follow the bait label and station instructions.
