Rodent Control Buying Guide

Use this checklist to compare products and prepare your questions before ordering.

1. Identify what you need

Note the rodent you are dealing with, the location and the signs of activity. Include prevention and trapping in your plan, rather than relying only on bait.

2. Compare the product format

  • Baits: check the exact product name, net weight and Canadian label.
  • Bait stations: check the dimensions, package contents and compatibility with the intended product.
  • Traps: check the target rodent and the manufacturer’s placement and handling instructions.
  • Value packs: confirm the number of items and the total quantity included.

3. Check the label and local requirements

For pesticides, check the Canadian registration number and current label. Confirm permitted users, pests, use sites and any bait-station requirements. Provincial and municipal rules may add restrictions.

4. Review your order

Confirm the selected size, quantity, package contents and shipping charges before checkout. Do not assume a station is included with a bait product unless the listing says so.
